This is what Lizzie told me two weeks ago when I asked what she was doing. She was lying on the couch holding a walkie talkie and pretending to have a conversation with Geoff (who was an hour away at work). She asked him questions and provided his answers, too, in a lower-toned voice that was supposed to be him! It is so great to see her imagination flourishing.
These are the pictures I took of her as she had a full, twenty-minute 'conversation' with Geoff, jabbering about what she'd been doing that day and asking him a bunch of questions: how work was ("fine"); if he was meeting with people ("yes, all day long"); if he was working on the computer ("lots and lots and lots"); if he wanted to be at home with her ("yes, yes, yes"); and on and on. It was adorable.
