Halloween Fun

Halloween was a fun day.  Between dipping marshmallows into melted chocolate and sprinkles, colouring pumpkin pictures, dressing up in new costumes, and heading to a fall carnival to play games and 'buy' a few candies with tickets earned, the kids had a fabulous day!

One of the nice things about going to a fall carnival instead of trick-or-treating is that the kids brought home about fifteen candies each, rather than the pillowcase full that they might otherwise have ended up with.  When we got home from the party, the kids 'went to town' by eating as much candy as they wanted to, and by the time they fell into bed, more than half of their candy was already gone.  They thought they were in heaven, eating as much as they wanted.  Seth kept asking: "Really mommy?  Eat more candy?  More candy??" (as if he thought that I must have mistaken the candy for something like, say, broccoli)

All in all, I'd say that the little kids' intro to Halloween was a really good one!
