A comment from Matthew last night, while I was lying down with him to help him relax enough to get to sleep:
Matthew: "Mom, I think we've built our relationship to the very top, don't you think?"
Me: "What do you mean when you say 'to the very top'?
Matthew: "It means we've done our best; I understand you, you understand me; we're doing all right together."
Me: "Well, then, yes, I would have to agree that we've built our relationship to the very top. Absolutely. And I hope we keep finding new ways to push the ceiling up."
Matthew: "Good. Love you Mom."
Me: "Love you, too, Matt."
so sweet!! so good that you are writing these things down..so many things happen that i love, and i forget to write them, :(
