People have been so kind in giving us donations for the two orphanages that we plan to visit: blankets (including several that were hand-quilted for these orphanages!); crib sheets; antibiotic cream; band aids; socks; underwear; soccer balls and pumps; and so on. In addition, people have given us money so that we will be able to purchase locally things such as teff flour, diapers, wipes, and whatever else we can manage in our budget.
We've also purchased hundreds of sheets of stickers, bubble blowers, balloons and seventy hot wheels cars (not shown on the picture below). Here's the picture of what we're shipping from Canada, and sorted into the two bins that we will take with us on our orphanage trips:
We're so thankful for the goods and the money that people have donated. We will try to take pictures of these things as they arrive at the orphanages, so that you can see where your donations have gone. Thank you so much!!
And it is such an amazing feeling to see the smiles on the staff and childrens faces when they recieve the items. Can't wait to hear about it.
