The Wonders of Technology

In September, I posted a list of 101 things that people never knew they wanted to know about me.  One of those items was that I'm not so great at technology...or something like that.  I'd like to amend that item:  I'm terrible at technology.  My husband can attest to the fact that nothing (and I mean nothing) has as much power over my frame of mind as when I become frustrated with my computer technology.  I sink into my lowest forms of helplessness and rise up into something approaching rage when I am thwarted by my inability to manipulate something on my computer.

Towards the end of last week, I started feeling an urge to update or modernize the look of my blog a little.  I got some help on how to do this (thanks Gwen - none of the following is your fault!) but I must confess that on the weekend I spent hours, during the wee hours of the night, trying to figure out how to do this.  Me, non-computer-like person, spent all kinds of time trying to re-program the HTML of my former blog template, only to mess it up so badly that it looked, frankly, bizarre (and of course, I forgot to save the original template).  In total, I lost at least four entire blogs somewhere into the stratosphere and the template that I finally decided upon absolutely did not work - to my great vexation.  So I'm going with this coffee-oriented scheme for now, at least until I figure out how to do something different.  My idea template would be a 2-column format rather than a 3-column format, but there aren't very many 2-column templates out there.  Wow, listen to me spout the lingo I learned this weekend. Maybe I learned something after all!
