We're not doing much Christmas baking this year - we tend never to eat it again after Christmas, so it tends to go to waste. So this year, like last year, I made a list (yes, I know, me and my lists): down the left hand column, I noted for whom and for what occasions I wanted to bake Christmas cookies; I then added further columns down the page to note the types of cookies I planned to bake. Then I just went down row by row and noted how many of each cookie I wanted to give/take to each person/occasion. At the bottom, I totalled the numbers of each cookie, and baked accordingly. Last year, I had fewer than ten cookies left over by the time Christmas Day had passed; I hope this year is similar!
Here's Matthew, baking two of our annual favourites: Mars Bar square; and, of course, Gingerbread.
Can you tell which of us went decorator crazy??!! Hint: not me.
would love to get your recipe for mars bars squares...thanks friend!

ReplyDelete"I" was sorry that he missed the decorating session... now I can show him pics! They also gave me ideas of a few things to add to our gingerbread men/women - whenever we get around to baking them! EEK!;0
