We're Home!

We got to our house just after midnight this morning, had a decent-if-somewhat-short night's sleep, and picked up an excited Matthew from my sister's house mid-morning.  The rest of the day saw us just hanging out together, and starting the unpacking process.  Unfortunately, I have a mild version of what Geoff had on the weekend, so I'm a little stomach sick...after being so careful, too.

It's 8:30pm and I'm barely hanging on to consciousness until Matthew falls asleep.  I'm totally knackered.

More later.  Need to run to the bathroom.

What a journey it has been so far,
Thanks so much for bringing me along.
I hope some sleep in your own bed recharges your heart and body.
Sending you lots of love as you settle into this next part of the wait ( the part I always feel will be the hardest for me )
    XOXO

  3. Hi Ruth. I don't think I've ever commented on your blog before but just wanted to tell you how great your Ethiopian posts were. I'm so sorry you didn't have the outcome you were hoping for, but I hope and pray it will just take time. What is it about Ethiopia that just gets in your blood??? We adopted a little girl in 2009 and long to go back and show her her homeland. It's a very special place. Hope you get over your jet lag and that you don't get too sick. Welcome home. L. Galloway

  6. FYI, it took me a good week to get over the jetlag. So give yourself time to re-adjust.
