Enjoying the Last Bits of Winter

Spring finally seems to be arriving, and the snow is disappearing rapidly from our backyard and the streets.  But a couple of weeks ago, when the weather was colder and the ground whiter, Matthew and I enjoyed an afternoon outside with friends, at our local environmental centre.  It was a terrific day, topped off with a hot drink at Starbucks at the end!

Matthew is on the right, with his best buddy on the left, and the little brother in the middle.  Adorable, all three!

This was Matthew's first attempt at snowshoeing...he loved it...and I loved it, too, because it totally exhausted him!

Even wipe-outs were fun!

Of course, the toboggan run is always a hit with the boys....

I doubt we'll see any more of these days until next winter, but it's always a fun option while the colder weather hangs about...especially when the company is so enjoyable.

  1. That toboggan run is SOOOO cool! Looks a bit too scary for me to go down, but my kids would love it!
