This weekend, Geoff took Matthew to my parents' cottage for the weekend...to enjoy some one-on-one time. The kayaked, explored islands, watched a movie, slept in the same bed, chopped down a dead tree on the property, and came home having obviously enjoyed each other's company.
When asked, Matthew told me that these were his three favourite things of the weekend:
1. Chopping down the tree and pulling it down with a rope they tied to it. I forgot to ask if they yelled "timber!!"
2. Lying back in their kayaks in the middle of the lake and just floating and talking,
3. Looking at the moon through the big telescope and snacking while doing it!
How awesome...I love it!!!
