Thank You.

I noticed last week all of the sudden that there are 100 people who have pressed the little 'follow this blog' button on my blog...that's a first.  I was so surprised, and moved.  Around the same time, I happened to check the stats on my blog, because Blogger recently changed how it is formatted and it now includes stats on readership; and I learned that I receive anywhere from 275-400 hits on my blog every day (though probably most hits are from my mother!).  In addition, there are at least a few people every week who tell me that they read my blog on most days, and every once in a while I have a perfect stranger approach me to ask if I'm the one who writes Ruth's Rambles...these things both embarrass and secretly thrill me to hear.

To be candid, I'm not sure why you're all still here!  I truly can't imagine what the draw is, because when I write, I write about things that are in my head and heart and I don't know why that would be of interest to anyone else.  But whatever the reason, thank you!!  I value your presence so much, because I love being here...so much more than I ever thought I would.  My blog is my outlet for writing at a time when I don't have a huge capacity for much beyond taking care of my family; it's my way of chronicling the adventure of our lives and thinking through issues; and it is a means of obtaining input and suggestions and advice from others (read: you) who have Been There Done That and are graciously willing to help me along life's journey.

So thank you!!

PS.  And a special shout-out to Brandi in Edmonton, who I understand reads my blog every day but is a little too shy to comment!!  That's ok with me and, comment or not, I'm glad you're here and thank you for reading!!  I would have loved meeting you in Edmonton!!
